Personal Stylists

First and foremost, we're looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy helping people and have an understanding of how to dress men and women of all body shapes. Our personal stylists aren't pushy sales people, instead they value creating long term relationships with their clients. They are fun to be with and truly care about helping people look and feel their best.

Operations Associates

Our Operations Associates are key to our operations. The position requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. We're looking for a few more part-time assistants to join our team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Shopping for a pre-defined list of merchandise from various stores
  • Purchasing and returning the merchandise before and after the visits
  • Communicate, problem-solve and troubleshoot daily operational issues as they arise

Data Scientist

We're looking for a data scientist who's excited about solving problems and improving our clothing selection and customer experience. We have tons of clean data to work with, from style preferences to past purchases to feedback gathered during each visit, and have barely scratched the surface of what we can do with it.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Understanding and analyzing the data we currently collect
  • Coming up with new ways to use that data to improve our clothing selection and customer experience
  • Thinking of new kinds of data we can collect and analyze
  • Ideally, implementing those techniques as a part of our backend services as well

What you should already have:

  • Creativity and curiosity when using data to solve problems and improve experiences
  • Experience using statistical methods and machine learning techniques in a real-world environment
  • Great communication and visualization skills
  • Excitement about working with a small team - you'd be one of our first engineers

And it'd be great if you had...

  • Server-side and backend development experience
  • Familiarity with Rails and Postgres, but we're flexible and will do whatever it takes to get the job done

Data Analyst

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support decision making, while building automated reporting on business metrics
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product and Marketing teams to challenge their assumptions and answer hard questions
  • Surprising us and present ideas to improve the client experience based on your own data analysis
  • Influence corporate decision making and report directly to the CEO

What you should already have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a strong academic record
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills - not just throwing up a bunch of charts and graphs
  • Confidence to suggest new tools, processes, and analyses as needed

Customer Experience Lead

Our Customer Experience Lead position requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. We're looking for a full-time hire to join our team in San Francisco.

What you’ll be doing:

  • This is a front facing position - you will be representing Boon + Gable and will be the first to respond to any client inquiries, complaints, or feedback
  • Communicating with clients over email, text, our app, and phone
  • Rescheduling appointments in the app (for both our clients and our stylists)
  • Tracking weekly metrics including NPS and overall retention rate
  • Proactively reaching out to new clients to get honest feedback about their Boon + Gable experience while tracking feedback and suggesting ways to improve our service
  • Brainstorm and execute ways to surprise and delight our clients and stylists
  • Working and collaborating across departments (Founders, Operations, Marketing, and Development) (ie. helping operations with special orders, partnering with marketing on events, and working with the development team to give feedback on technical upgrades)
  • One off/Ad Hoc “special” projects related to overall company growth

What you should already have:

  • Strong work ethic and drive, high attention to detail, and desire for a high level of ownership
  • Curiosity and intellectual honesty to continually identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Top-notch organization skills
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Zendesk, Trello, Slack, and other dashboard tools are a plus

VP Marketing

What you’ll be doing:

  • Hit quarterly and yearly growth targets for customer acquisition and retention while maintaining and improving average order value
  • Drive strategy, develop and manage budget, and execute marketing activities across the full customer lifecycle: acquisition, activation, referral, and retention
  • Manage forecast and maintain accuracy for acquisition, conversion, and dollars spent
  • Acquire new customers via any appropriate channels such as direct mail, in-person events, street team tactics, content strategy, Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin ads, email growth, re-targeting, push notifications, video advertising, radio, podcasts, referral program, loyalty program and gift cards
  • Develop new activation and conversion programs to stimulate first scheduled visits
  • Enhance existing programs and develop new trial concepts for retention and referral
  • Optimize and constantly improve marketing mix by thorough analysis of marketing efforts - tracking ROI, holding post-mortems, and determining whether a program needs to be improved, changed, or abandoned
  • Deepen and expand existing personas to uncover areas of opportunity for acquisition and conversion
  • Deliver ongoing (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly) and ad-hoc reporting on marketing progress against key performance indicators
  • Work closely with core team on experimentation (e.g. pricing, product, offering) to grow business
  • Manage a marketing manager who currently does website optimization, social content strategy, and email marketing
  • Work with marketing manager to ensure consistency in brand voice and imagery across all programs, while understanding that this an evolution due to the iterative nature of marketing
  • Plan for expansion to markets beyond San Francisco

About you:

  • Data-driven marketer with with experience digging into heavy analytics and drawing out insights to ensure optimal campaign performance
  • Strong quantitative skills - you’ve done budgeting, forecasting, and understand how marketing programs are impacting key metrics
  • Oriented towards experimentation and optimization - you are willing to develop several pilots a month and to get things moving to test your hypotheses to achieve key goals
  • Resourceful and creative with a "get things done" and "what else can we try" mindset
  • A history of developing creative marketing programs and solutions
  • Ability to really get into the consumer mindset to develop programs that resonate and attract the right audience
  • Strong relationship builder - both internally and externally
  • Strong sense of ownership and urgency
